Professor Arno Bucker
Skills/Experience
Professor Arno Bücker is the Chair of the Clinic of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at Saarland University Hospital, Germany ( http://www.uniklinikum-saarland.de/de/einrichtungen/ kliniken-institute/radiologie/radiodiagnostik ). He has extensive experience in Interventional MRI including the development of medical devices.
Role in the Project
Professor Bücker will set up a training program for Interventional Radiology. This will introduce the “conventional” methods of X-ray guidance ( http://www.uniklinikum-saarland.de/de/einrichtungen/kliniken_institute/radiologie/radiodiagnostik/fuer_aerzte /spezielle_leistungen/ ) as well as dedicated training sessions for Interventional MRI. Testing of new “MR-compatible” medical devices and first steps into the clinical application of MR guidance for different interventional procedures will be explored.
