The Partners
The project has 10 principal partners. They're areas of expertise, project role and key personnel are listed below.
Mr. Rajesh Kumar
Skills/Experience
Completed a five year integrated master’s (MSc) degree in Photonics from the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) in 2009. He worked on the fabrication of polymer optical fibres and optical fibre sensors in CUSAT, as well as metallic multi-segment nanorods in Sungkyunkwan University (South-Korea) as a visiting research student. He is the recipient of an SPIE scholarship twice, a national award by the Association of Indian Universities, another national award by the Indian Physics Association, and he is also an ex-National Fellow of the Young Scientist Promoting Scheme (KVPY) (administered by the Department of Science and Technology, government of India).
Role in the Project
He joined University of St Andrews under the project integrated interventional imaging operating systems (IIIOS) as Marie-Curie Early Stage Researcher. He is working on Raman spectroscopy combined with optical coherence tomography (OCT). He would further explore magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) compatibility of medical photonic devices and its clinical relevance.
