Ole Jakob Elle
Skills/Experience
Ole Jakob Elle did his master at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 1990 and he has a Phd in robotic surgery from 2004. Since 1998 he has been working with research and development within medical technology including software for image guided intervention and therapy at The Interventional Centre, Oslo University Hospital (IVS-OUS). He has been Section Manager for Technology Research at The Interventional Centre for the last couple of years. He is also coordinating the IVS contribution to different EU-projects and administrative responsible and superviser for PhD-fellows and other researcher employees through external funded projects (EU, NFR…). Ole Jacob Elle holds a position as Adjunct Associate Professor at Department of Informatics, University of Oslo.
Role in the Project
- Integration of catheter tip tracking into the 3T MR
- Develop endoscopic and cardio vascular navigation using multi modal visualisation
- Pre-clinical evaluation of the new methods
