Rahul P Kumar
Skills/Experience
Rahul has a Masters Degree in Medical Image Computing from University College London (UCL) and a Degree in Electronics and Biomedical Engineering (4-year) from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). He had worked as Research Engineer at the Division of Bioengineering of National University of Singapore (NUS) on a collaborated project with Bioinformatics Institute (BII) of Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR).
Rahul's master’s thesis was on feature based registration of blood vessel images of human liver at different breathing cycles. His work at NUS involved microscopic image processing and analysis of the brain of Drosophila larva.
Role in the Project
Rahul joined The Interventional Centre, Oslo University Hospital as a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher on the project Integrated Interventional Imaging Operating Systems (IIIOS). He will be involved in the investigation and development of new methods in cardiovascular vessel segmentation and visualization using MR images.
