Abubakr Eldirdiri
Skills/Experience
Abubakr graduated with B.Eng in Mechatronics, from Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. He then worked as research assistant. He received Erasmus Mundus scholarship to obtain a joint M.Sc degree in Computer Vision and Robotics (VIBOT) from Université de Bourgogne, University of Heriot-Watt and Universitat de Girona.
Abubakr had participated in research work in the fields of medical image processing, pattern recognition and autonomous navigation during his internships at the Groupe Imagerie Médicale LE2I, Université de Bourgogne, and the Computer Vision and Robotics Group (VICOROB), University of Girona.
Role in the Project
Abubakr joined the Interventional Centre, Oslo University Hospital to work as an Early Stage Researcher under the IIIOS project. He will be involved in designing an MR-passive tracking algorithm and in investigating the MR Image acquisition possibilities.
